Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Q: What is the difference between copper and aluminum heat sinks?
A: Both metals are good heat conductors, but copper conducts heat more efficiently. However, copper is heavier, costlier, and more difficult to use in manufacturing. We design heat sinks using aluminum, copper, and combinations for optimal performance.

Q: Should I start the computer without the fan plugged in to "warm up" the thermal interface?
A: No. Do not risk burning up your processor. Make sure the fan is connected to the power source (3 pin plug on the board).

Q: Why is my fan making noise?
A: A fan will produce an amount of noise during normal operations. If the noise is strange or excessive, then there may be a problem with the connection or a wire or cable may be in contact with the fan blades. Check to be sure the fan is properly connected and the blades are free from possible interference.

Q: Do I need to remove the liner from the pad on the bottom of the heat sink?
A: Yes, remove the plastic liner.

Q: If I remove the heat sink from the processor, do I need to replace the thermal pad?
A: Yes, remove the remainder of the used pad with a plastic card (being careful not to scratch the heat sink) and then clean the surface with a small amount of alcohol. Thoroughly dry the area then place the new thermal pad at the center of the heat sink surface. Apply pressure and remove the liner.

Q: Where are Ajigo distributors and where can I purchase Ajigo products?
A: The Contact Page lists our headquarters and distributors contact information. If you do not find a distributor convenient to your location, please contact Ajigo headquarters.
